retail therapy

retail therapy always works! mwahahahaha.

the past few days i've been stressing out on university choices, courses, career paths and everything. this afternoon i went to B.Lau Edu Services with Teo (who has already decided on doing medicine) to get some ideas and help, plus counselling. so frustrated.

after that we went to watch Train Of The Dead with Jon, Din, Mubarak and JunYi. not bad, the movie, but not really a must watch. a lot of Karma Karma thing..

AND THEN SHOPPING!!!

i told Teo i want to buy shoes, randomly went into Heatwave, scanned through the row of shoes on display, picked one, tried it on, paid for it, and left the shop wearing it. it all happened within 10 minutes. TALK ABOUT IMPULSE PURCHASE!

but i absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVVVVEEEEE what i bought.

don't you just love it too??? sorry bout the ugly picture, can't find one on the internet so i made desperate use of my photographic skills. i swear it's better looking in reality!!

and then we strolled around the mall in my new shoes! and then we went to Charles and Keith. and then i saw another pair of shoes. I WANTED IT! but Teo confiscated my purse. pffft.

and then came Iqbal, he was told about the shoes, and we went to have a look at it (him for the first time, me for the nth time). he said "ohh, it does look pretty nice." Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
sigh.. it does, doesn't it? again, i swear it's my lousy photographic skills making them not as pretty as they should rightfully be. they look good!! especially with a pair of feet wearing them too! ahem, MINE!

so, Iqbal, being a sweetheart he always is, BOUGHT IT FOR ME AS A BELATED BIRTHDAY GIFT AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

I AM SO HAPPY. i love you iqbal!

2 pairs of shoes in one day. WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

(My filing cabinet: I need to add to, update and memorize everything that's in here, plus the three or four more files in various school bags)

(My desk: you can ACTUALLY see the table: went on a mass pre-Mock exam cleanup and organizational phase, I filed (and I counted) over 500 sheets of paper into 7 different subjects)

you must be ma-d-th

after math they always get giddy
wondering why bother with math
the teacher will have his pen ready
prepare for a bloody aftermath.

i always had this hypothesis about problems. it goes in this sequence:

  1. problem arises, for example, you are cutting your friend's hair and accidentally made a gaping hole across the mane.
  2. frustration, for example, swearing and shouting (victim), profuse apologies (criminal).
  3. to find solution, for example, suggest wearing hats, suggest hair growth shampoo, suggest cutting the hair even shorter so the hole is not obvious.
  4. fix the problem
  5. rethink the whole situation and laugh your asses off about how idiotic it was!
those people who skip number 2, 3 and 4, meaning to say you jump from number 1 to number 5, i salute you! we should be friends! we could even be related! write to me!!!

you see, when the milk is spilt, don't cry over it! what's done is done. just laugh about it!

how i deal with my problems - #1, #5 then maybe #4.

So Have I Told You....

That I've AACTUALLY always wanted to be a checkout chick?

That whole MEDICINE thing was just a cover up! What I REALLY want to do is work at Hua Ho telling you how much your nasi basmati and bananas are, and do that cool nail-flippy thing they do when they're counting notes.

Ohhhhhhhhh god, guys, I don't know what I'm going to do.

It's so hard.

And I don't know if I can take this. In about four months, I'll have finished my exams and probably started a bachelor's degree in....something.

For like, ever, I've wanted that something to be Med. I don't know why, I don't know if it's really what I want to do....I just know that I do.

But it's so hard.....and I'm suddenly not as smart as people told me I was. I'm suddenly finding my beautiful study notes utterly inadequate....I'm scared I haven't started studying early enough, and it makes me want to curl up in a ball and sob.

Long and short of it is, I'm not ready for this.

I'm SO not ready to make a single decision now that affects THE REST of my life.

I'm just not ready.

I wish I was.

But I'm not.

And for now, there's little I can do about it except go off and analyze some crappy related texts for English so I can, yet again, prove to MYSELF and THE WORLD.....

How goddamned inadequate I am.
